Logan is smashed!

Submitted by The Jester on Wed, 03/10/2012 - 14:53

Well, I have certainly been a wee bit quiet of late, and for damn good reason. Just 3 days before putting Logan on show in the 'Back to 89' display at the legendary Bugjam..........some ditzy dolly daydream smashed into the back of Logan, while he was static on the handbrake at traffic lights!!

WHY no blog?.......summer HELL!

Submitted by The Jester on Wed, 01/08/2012 - 14:11

You have probably noticed my recent in-activity here in the blogging section.....

This is due to the rather unbelievable, weather related nonsense that we have seen since the show season began! Sadly, the ACF wizard has only managed to get to four shows this year, and we have watched in horror as the VW scene has been turned into nothing more than a bog!

Whitenoise.... it was a rum'un!

VW Whitenoise - 5th - 7th August 2011

At this point in the season, I should have been rocking up in Logan, the aircooledfools wizard........(who was due to be finished and on the road in September 2010). He was still not ready!!

The stress of the hold up's, which have delayed the project for 1 whole year, really did hit me hard, and it was touch and go as to whether I would make it to Norfolk for this one.

Bug Jam 25..... the one and only!

Submitted by The Jester on Sat, 10/09/2011 - 09:18

Way back in July 87, Bug jam began on a sunny Sunday afternoon...... The 2 VW enthusiasts who started it all were utterly gobsmacked when over 3,500 people showed up at Santa Pod waving glo-sticks and blowing whistles!

The legend of Stanford Hall

Submitted by The Jester on Thu, 07/07/2011 - 09:29

Whilst researching the VW scene last year, I lost count of the times that Stanford Hall was given rave reviews. So when Sunday 1st of May came around, by hell or high water, I was gonna make it!

If I have one regret for this years show season...... it would be the fact that we made it to Stanford for the Sunday only. The sight as we entered the car park quite frankly took my breath away! The car park alone was lined with VW's as far as the eye could see...... and we had not even got in through the gate.

Considering the low ticket price, I have to say that this show was the best of the season so far. Row upon row of supplier's, auto jumble and cafes lined the entrance. There was certainly no shortage of things to do and see. The aircooledfools team will certainly be camping at this one for next year!

If Splitty's are your thing.... don't miss Stanford Hall. The split screen owner's club showed up in force. I have never seen so many in the same place at the same time!

Moooooooo........ Dubs at the Farm!

Submitted by The Jester on Wed, 18/05/2011 - 14:51

When we headed out on Friday 29th April, we could not have known that Dubs at the farm was about to turn into the most eventful weekend of the season so far!

On route to show, the splitty began to expire. A most interesting experience, as you can literally feel it getting worse and worse with every hill. The road into Wooferton was a spectacular country road, with views of the surrounding farm lands on either side. The bus rocked and rolled up and down hills, until it finally juddered to a standstill, directly outside a small village pub....... guess it could smell the beer!

Cruise to the Prom - What a fantastic day by the sea :)

Submitted by The Jester on Wed, 18/05/2011 - 13:25

Sunday 17th April.......What a day!

After leaving Bus Types early, due to a huge bout of the flu, the team awoke early on Sunday morning ready to cruise down to Weston-Super-Mare. The Cruise to the Prom could not have planned such a fantastic day. The sun was blaring as we chugged down the M5.

Bus Types

Submitted by The Jester on Wed, 04/05/2011 - 10:39

It was with much excitment that the ACF crew packed up the ratty splitty for Bus Types on the 15th April. This show was to be the first outing for the much awaited flyers, that frazzled our brains in the design process. We were not to be disappointed. The show ground was packed and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Subscription costs "Whats that all about then??"

Submitted by The Jester on Fri, 08/04/2011 - 20:01

I've had a few questions regarding the free subscription for the first year. "Whats that all about then?" I hear you cry. Well the answer is simple. Every supplier invited to list with aircooledfools gets their first 12 months free.

"So what's the catch??"
